BancTech's experience with ACH or electronic payments began in 1997. Our banking relationship is over 7 years old. We were one of the first service bureaus to accept "Checks by Phone" in 1998. This gave companies access to over 50 million potential new customers who had checking accounts, but did not have a major credit card. These customers could now buy products and services with the same ease and convenience as those with credit cards.
